With encouragement from commenters and partners in crime, I present some more daft doodles – with explanations because my doodles tend to need them.

This next one is my latest commision and may need some explaining. The phrase I was challenged with was ‘You’re not as green as you are cabbage looking’…the explanation for that madness is in the link below the pic.
This next one is a bit more ‘serious’, or as serious as I can get anyway. I have taken to sketching some of my holiday photos. I do this as exercising in sketching, as a way to revisit the scene and also because sketching has become one of my favourite ways to lose masses of time…boredom simply doesn’t exist when I’m lost with a pencil and paper.

(We arrived just in time for a snowstorm, but managed to time our departure the next day so that we could follow a snowplough up that mountain to get out).
Very nice. I love the phrase “You’re not as green as you are cabbage looking”. It’s like I want to give you a compliment saying you are no longer green, wet behind the ears, untrained but at the same time I have to insult you and call you ugly, cabbage looking, because I am not comfortable being nice to people. It’s just so British and repressed. You really captured it well. Your Iceland picture is very evocative and a great reminder to live further South. Brrrr.
Thank you 🙂
