My experiment is NOT going well.
I did not get a single track off this album for the iPod so compliation CDs are going on the veto list. (I am, however going to be listening to the whole of Fatboy Slim – You’ve Come A Long Way, Baby, now that I’ve had a gentle reminder of how good it is).
Although blind CD shopping might not be high on my list of priorities right now a charity got another 50p out of me and I will be back at it when the world returns to something like normal.

Oh okay, you expect us to believe an album containing NSYNC – I Want You Back didn’t bring you joy. Pshaw I say, pshaw!
You can pshaw all you want mate, I’ve already got all the NSYNC I need (none).
You could ask other folks for their favorites & listen to the results. I’d start, but aside from being able to sing – I use the word loosely – the lyrics to several old Broadway musicals, I am a melodic desert.
I have had the offer of someone’s CD collection to go through, but that feels a little like walking into a minefield…so I might stick to the charity shops for a while longe.
