A gauntlet thrown down (gently, in a very blasé manner)

My friends in the kitchen – who, alarmingly, seem to have grown significantly in number – have challenged me to seven posts for seven days. I don’t normally do this sort of thing because I really don’t want writing, or this blog, to become a chore so I am aiming to write seven posts and schedule them, rather than restricting myself to one per day. Be warned, this may mean that day seven’s post is basically a photo of a random object in my home with an explanation of when and why I bought it (although that does sound a lot like many of my previous posts).

I could make this post about the challenge and bang on about it a bit, but that felt like cheating, so here is my gallery on the Mother’s Day (22nd March in the UK) pressie I received (passed to me over the garden fence, from a safe distance, without an accompanying hug…sigh)

I’m not usually a fan of indoor flowers, but I do love a nice pot. I have done the research and I think I will be able to store the bulb ready to be planted in the garden for next year, so it’s a gift that will keep on giving.

  1. A few of those faces look to be plotting. I’d be careful.

      I think you’re right…although I have done a lot less fridge-raiding while they’re all staring at me
