So it turns out that broadcasting to the whole world, via the internet, what I intend to achieve has a motivating effect on me. In previous years it would have been my overwhelming need for approval that made me finish yesterdays list but I’m sooooooooo over that and now I’m pretty sure I managed to do them all because once I say I’m going to do something I tend to do it…for MY OWN peace of mind and satisfaction.
Yesterdays list was completed with two exceptions: I decided to NOT reply to the distinct lack of information (because it was unnecessary, so why bother?) and I also failed to rest and luxuriate in the knowledge that stuff was done (because I just don’t seem to be able to get my head around that bit). I am not going to bore you with todays list but suffice it to say that it involves wood stain, handmade paper and ink, a small metal hook and some washing up.

My To Do lists are masterworks of time management and organization. Not effective, but poetry for the obsessive none the less.
I knew someone who travelled with pens of many colours and he used a different one for each subheading on his lists – subheadings only he understood. His lists were works of art, but even without decent handwriting or pretty colours a good list can make my day.
Ohhhhhh, the thrill of anticipation that one day, maybe, I could cross something off!
