Today is Mother’s Day in the UK. We still can’t hug our kids unless we live in the same house, but we can deliver socially distanced presents and cards.

There is no higher accolade. No reward, no status, no money or power greater than knowing your kid has grown up to be a decent human being.

I’m pretty sure I just get to rest upon my laurels now.

I know Mother’s Day can be painful for some people, but if you have turned out to be a decent human being then someone, somewhere, did a good job with you…even if that person was You.
