For the kind person who asked…

I was given a new mug (I LOVE a good mug) for a weekend of dog-sitting:

‘Knitting Keeps Me From Unravelling’

It has become an undeniable fact that knitting does indeed keep me from unravelling, which is a very good thing because the current state of the world could quite easily lead to a fair bit of coming apart at the seams.

To prove this point, since February of this year I have made:

  • 3 sweaters
  • 3 pairs of socks
  • 3 cushion covers
  • 27 Xmas ammonites decorations

I have also cast on:

  • 1 cardigan
  • 2 sweaters
  • 2 pairs of socks
  • 1 cushion cover
  • 1 phone sock
Fossil Xmas tree decs

I also saved my pennies and spent out at the Wool @J13 yarn festival I mentioned before:

This is what £120 of indie dyed yarn looks like…and I am not sorry!

I was also lucky (and brave) enough to go to The Wool Monty festival in Sheffield where I discovered the joys of bamboo yarn. OMG, bamboo yarn…so soft…so smooth…so many socks to knit…

Bamboo!

I am giving the yarn buying a bit of a rest for a while, but I do wonder what mischief I would get up to if I took up studying psychological warfare tactics or anarchy for beginners instead of knitting…

(#Transatlantic waving hello and sending thanks to KW who knows how to give a good nudge!)
